NICKEL 55 ELECTRODES
1-1702
A nickel-iron cored electrode recommended for welding cast iron, ductile cast iron and alloy cast irons to themselves and to other alloys such as mild steel, stainless steel and wrought alloys. Light bead deposits are generally harder than those deposited with nickel 99 electrodes; however, heavier beads and multiple layer welds with nickel 55 electrodes will exhibit good machinability. Nickel 55 is especially suited for welding heavy sections such as motor blocks, housings, machine parts, frames, defective castings and building-up worn sections.
